24 Years

In 24 years you collect a lot, your own stuff, stuff passed down my family members, things that have meaning. I moved from

Ohio to Virginia almost 3 years ago. We sold probably 12 years

worth of stuff just to move to where we are now only

to have to move again.

This move is different though, my hubby and I always wanted a camper once my son graduated high school and (lord forbid) the time comes that my father who lives with us passed. Well our landlord decided it is now the right time to sell the house we were in.

Hubs and I talked at great length about what to do. Instead of throwing more money away into rent, we decided why not get the camper now instead. Great idea, right? We had no clue how much we were going to have to give up to move into a camper with 4 people and 2 dogs.

If it was just the hubs and it would be different we would have another “bedroom” we could have turned into something else. Right now we are unable to do that. I have moved several times over the 24 years that we have been together and this is by far the hardest move we have ever made!

We are currently still in the process of going through our belongings and trying to decide what to keep, what to give to our family, and what to donate. I can’t tell you how much we have already sold and have given away and still have so much to go through.

We have started getting the camper ready and the hubs and I have actually already started sleeping in it to get a feel for it. Not bad with just the two of us and 1 dog.

The question remaining is will it work with 4 people and 2 dogs. Answers and pictures are yet to come.

Please know that between the holidays, the birth of my beautiful granddaughter and this move I have been extremely busy. I love blogging and it is so good for my mental health. I did make a post the other day stating I would be back soon and there are going to be some changes. I am excited about the changes that I am thinking of doing.

I look forward to chatting with you all soon!

Apple Ginger Fizz for Fall

The kids deserve a special drink for the fall besides apple cider. This is a great fall mocktail with a beautiful flavor combination. Not just for the kiddos. This makes 1 drink What  you'll need: 3 oz still apple cider 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice 6 mint leaves 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar Pinch powdered cinnamon 3 oz ginger ale Create: Place apple cider, lime juice, cinnamon, apple cider vinegar and a few ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. If you don't have a shaker, anything with a tight lid will work, such as a mason jar or drink bottle. Clap the mint together in your hands to release the scent, and add to the shaker. Shake for about 20-30 seconds until ingredients are combined. Pour into an ice filled glass and top with ginger ale. Stir gently, garnish with mint, dried citrus or a cinnamon stick, and serve.
