Cyriopagopus lividus

Meet Beauty she is one of our newer tarantulas in our collection or should I say Cory’s. The cobalt blue tarantula or Cyriopagopus lividus is a species of tarantula which is in the family Theraphosidae which is native to Myanmar and over the border into Thailand . It was originally described as Haplopelma lividum . The cobalt blue tarantula is a medium-sized tarantula with a leg span around 13  cm (5 in). It is noted for its iridescent blue legs and light gray prosoma and opisthosoma , the latter of which may contain darker gray chevrons.Males and females look the same until the ultimate (final) molt of the males. At this point, the male exhibits sexual dimorphism in the form of a light tan or bronze coloration and legginess. Additionally, males gain a palpal bulb on the pedipalps and tibial apophyses (mating hooks). The female eventually becomes larger than the male and lives years longer. The cobalt blue tarantula is a fossorial species and spends nearly all of its ti...

Costa Rican zebra Olaf

Our Costa Rican Spider name Olaf has been a hoot, if a tarantula has a personality he definitely has one. He likes to play with a ping pong ball, he moves his water dish and buries it a lot and his favorite thing is doing the hokey pokey. Want to know more about these beautiful tarantula’s? The Costa Rican zebra tarantula (Aphonopelma seemanni) is a species of tarantula that lives in tropical rainforests and dry forests in Central America. It's also known as the striped-knee tarantula.  These tarantulas are usually black with white stripes near the leg joints. They typically reach a maximum size of around 3.5 to 5 inches. Females are heavier-bodied than males with bigger abdomens.  Costa Rican zebra tarantulas are generally considered docile and relatively friendly compared to some other tarantula species. They're more inclined to dart back into their burrow as opposed to strike and attack what they may consider a potential threat.  To care for a pet Costa Rican zebra tar...

Meet Misery

This is one of our tarantulas that does not have a Disney name. She is a P. Metallica. We keep her in a taller enclosure, she hides most of the time but lately she has been coming out to show off her very vibrant beautiful colors. She is also one of the most venomous tarantulas out there ( I really need to get myself an epi pen) because Cory has a lot of T’s that are on the top of the venomous charts. Misery loves to eat crickets and Dubia roaches. More info on the P. Metallica: Poecilotheria metallica, also known as the peacock tarantula, is an Old World species of tarantula. It is the only blue species of the genus Poecilotheria.  Like others in its genus it exhibits an intricate fractal-like pattern on the abdomen. The species' natural habitat is deciduous forest in Andhra Pradesh, in central southern India. It has been classified as Critically endangered by the IUCN. Poecilotheria metallica has similar intricate geometric body coloration as other Poecilotheria species, but it ...

Meet Oogie Boogie

Oogie is our Green Bottle Blue Tarantula. So a back story of our tarantulas. I have always had arachnophobia. Cory (months ago) really wanted to get a jumping spider and I told him I was fine with that. He did get one but then all the sudden the Tarantula’s started coming into the home. I am doing much better with my arachnophobia but I still get scared from time to time. The other part about t he backstory is since he was bringing home creatures that scare me, I got to name them. So far all of our tarantulas have Disney name, except for a few. We have used up a lot of the Disney names already so now we are getting ready to start a new theme, maybe DreamWorks next. Well you are here to learn about the Green Bottle Blue so I guess I should educate you 🕸️ Chromatopelma (scientific name) is a monotypic genus of South American tarantulas containing the single species, Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens. Commonly known as greenbottle blue tarantulas due to their metallic blue legs and blue-gree...

The Tiny Diny Rehabilitation Center

Hi y'all I am sharing a bit about mine and Cory’s friend Widow. Check out all the info below and go give her some love🩷 Hi my name is Widow I am one of the owners of The Tiny Diny Rehabilitation Center. More than 10 years ago we noticed a lot of reptiles and other smaller animals being neglected and we decided to start the rescue.  Oasis is the first dragon that came to us skin and bones and paralyzed from the tail and back legs. We didn’t think she would survive but after months of tube feeding and rehab she started to bounce back.  Then we started to notice she was different. She was always judging us and she would definitely throw her opinion around. Oasis is the mascot and loves to hang out and watch her followers on Tik Tok and loves her movies.  If people would like to help we do have a wishlist on Amazon🦎  We are also doing a ⭐GIVEAWAY⭐ right now 1 winner gets 10 to 15 crystals of  your choice and a jumping spider along with an enclosure. ...
