This is a recipe for greek fried cheese.
Wouldn't call it healthy but we are allowed to eat
things from time to time that aren't the best for you....lol
I love greek foods & I love cheese so I can definitely see myself making this!
This is an appetizer recipe and it serves 2
Ingredients:
1 piece of saganaki cheese
(probably found at a whole foods)
flour for dredging
evoo for frying
1/2 lemon cut into wedges
Instructions:
In a small skillet heat the evoo on medium high heat.
You want enough oil that the bottom of the skillet is well coated.
Dredge cheese in flour
Once the oil is hot add the cheese. Fry for a few
minutes on each side until it's golden brown.
It may stick a little, so use a metal spatula to loosen it and then flip.
Serve immediately with lemon juice
squeezed over the cheese.
