Tired of Being Broke??

A lot of struggle, whether it's paycheck to paycheck

or right now with the holidays or maybe gas and the inflation

of everything has got your wallet empty? Here are 8 "habits"

to try and get into if you're tired of being broke all the time.

Discover why you're broke:

If you want to fix your situation (if it's possible to fix) you need

to get to the root of the cause. Is it an income problem, a spending

problem or both? The only way to save money is to spend less

than what you earn, meaning decrease your expenses

or increase your income.

2. Stop paying interest on debt:

Have you heard of a balance transfer credit card? Break up

with your interest on your other cards and get out of debt faster

with the balance transfer card. YOu transfer all of your credit card

debt to one of the balance cards. This gives you ONE payment a

month and the interest rate on it could even be significantly lower.

You will pay no or low interest for 12-18 months

(depending on your credit score).

3. Cancel unwanted subscriptions:

Do you use all the subscriptions you have on a daily basis?

What about a weekly basis? If you answered NO, get rid of them.

Do you have a lot of streaming subscriptions that you only watch

for 1 or 2 shows, for example; Showtime: I watch 1 show on

Showtime, so I subscribe when the show is over. That way I

can watch it within a short amount of time and then I cancel

Showtime till the show airs again.

Do you have a high internet or cable bill? Call the company to

ask if there are any new promotions, if they say no mention you

are thinking of switching companies and normally they will

come up with a way to lower your bill to keep you as a customer.

4. Don't eat out:

Eating out gets very costly and is unnecessary especially if you

have food at home. Ideally it's suggested that you should only

eat out once a week for a family night or a date night, even

then anyone who is trying to help you save

money will tell you to stop doing it!

5. Save on energy:

A lot of cities actually have more than one electricity provider

but most people do not know that. If you do have more than

one provider in your area that means they are competing

for your business and deals can be made.

You can also head to electricityrates.com plug in your zip

code and it will show you all the providers in your area.

Find out which one is lower for you.

6. Take advantage of cash back apps

There are so many apps that do cash back, even some banks

offer specials that if you spend money in a certain store

you'll see cash back. Definitely take advantage of these

ways to get money back in your pocket.

7. Side Hustle:

Do you have free time that you don't know what to do with?

Maybe you just want to make extra money? Nowadays it's so

easy to get that side hustle! With Uber, Door Dash and so many

others you can start earning extra money in no time!

8. Stop wasting money:

If you are tired of being broke then stop wasting money on things

you don't need, eating out (like we mentioned above). Really go

over every bit of money that is spent each month and

see where you can make changes.
