DIY Black Cat Duck Tape Containers

This is a fun DIY to do with the kids.

I thought they could be practical but also serve

as a Halloween decoration.

When not using all year long to hold your pens, pencils & scissors.

You could put Halloween floral accents in it.

What do you think?

What you'll need:

Duck Tape

Cutting Mat

Craft Knife

Scissors

Clean and dried empty cans

Create:

Let's start with making the ears; Cut out a couple inches

of duct tape. Cut about 3 inches for the smaller cat. (To cut the duck tape, you should typically use this method. First, pull out the

duck tape and stick it to the cutting mat. Then, slice the

tape with your craft knife. Don’t use scissors

because they get too sticky.)

Use your craft knife to slice your tape in half lengthwise.

Then, fold each piece in half, leaving the ends free.

Stick your two tabs onto the tin can.

Use your scissors to trim the tabs into two ears.

Now the face; Cut a longer piece of duck tape using the previously

described technique. (For the smaller cat, cut about 10 inches.)

Use the previously described technique to cut the duct tape.

Wrap the duct tape around the can.

Use your craft knife to cut out pieces for the cat’s face.

Tape on your cat’s face!

....and you're done

Apple Ginger Fizz for Fall

The kids deserve a special drink for the fall besides apple cider. This is a great fall mocktail with a beautiful flavor combination. Not just for the kiddos. This makes 1 drink What  you'll need: 3 oz still apple cider 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice 6 mint leaves 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar Pinch powdered cinnamon 3 oz ginger ale Create: Place apple cider, lime juice, cinnamon, apple cider vinegar and a few ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. If you don't have a shaker, anything with a tight lid will work, such as a mason jar or drink bottle. Clap the mint together in your hands to release the scent, and add to the shaker. Shake for about 20-30 seconds until ingredients are combined. Pour into an ice filled glass and top with ginger ale. Stir gently, garnish with mint, dried citrus or a cinnamon stick, and serve.
