Quote of the Day 9/15

It is only imperfection that complains of  what is imperfect. The more perfect we are, the more  gentle and quiet we become toward the  defects of others. ~Joseph Addison

Joke of the Day 9/14/2021

I was arguing with my wife and hung up on her.  She called me right back and yelled, "did you hang up on me!?"  I said, "I don't know; did it sound something like this?...",  and I hung up on her.

DIY Mini Zen Garden

I have posted how hectic my life feels, I use to have  one of these that my son made for me. I sadly don't have  it anymore and I really have no place for one. However  it was very therapeutic. This is great if you have a desk at  work and get stressed out or if you have your own place  at home where you could put it and use it. What you'll need: Mini rake (found at craft stores) Container; glass or wood Sand; fine grain sand is best but you can also use  colored sand found at craft stores. Plants; air plants are best if you want real plants as they  don't require soil. You can use fake plants as well.  Moss is a great addition to. Essential oils; you want to use calming scents like  lavender and or chamomile. Just put a few drops in your  sand and mix around as you do your container, add  more as you need it. Stones; use outdoor stones to give an authentic look,  just make sure you clean them first. To create: Fill your contai...

Meditation Hack

So I have tried to find a perfect meditation app and  I can't find one that doesn't cost money. I have tried  using my sleep app for noises in the background and  that disrupts me. I have found sitting outside for 10 minutes just focusing  on the sounds of nature helps me relax. So what I do,  I don't sit with my legs crossed or feet together,  I don't have a yoga mat, I don't even shut my eyes! I literally sit in a chair and block out thoughts and just  listen to nature. I then every night before bed take  60 seconds to focus on my breathing.  Now if you can fit in 3 times a day just listening to nature,  this could help relax you. Are you willing to try it?
