Black Widow Cocktail

I thought since this week is introducing you back into the blog and also starting to post about various creatures in the blog this would be a great cocktail to post under “Adult Corner”

Enjoy responsibly

This recipe yields 1 cocktail

What you'll need:

2.5oz blackberries; plus a few extra for garnish

3/4T of caster sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2oz fresh lemon juice

1 1/2oz vodka

3-4 blocks of ice

soda water to to top up

raspberries for garnish

Create:

Chill the glass in the freezer for 2-3 minutes and get your other ingredients prepped whilst the glass is chilling.

Put half of your blackberries in the glass, along with your sugar and vanilla extract. Then muddle the ingredients together.

From there add your lemon juice and vodka and then stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the rest of the blackberries and your ice.

Top up the drink almost to the top of the glass with soda water and then give the drink a few more stirs.

Thread a piece of raspberry and blackberry onto a toothpick, and then place on the rim of your glass as a garnish.

Serve and enjoy!

Chicken Meatballs with Quinoa & Curried Cauliflower (high calories)

Alright my dear friends, we have some in the group who are needing to maintain or gain some weight, so this week is going to be high calorie meals. I will have (high calories) posted in the title of the recipe. This recipe serves 1 so you will need to adjust depending on how many people will be eating it. There is 697 calories, 44g carbs & 72g of protein. I absolutely love these! I love decorating for Halloween, I have to say it is my favorite holiday. I don't think you can have enough decorations up! So when I found this DIY project I just had to share! DIY Cheesecloth Ghosts You can find styrofoam mannequin heads at wig shots. They normally can stand on their necks but for this project you need to suspend them to let the cloth flow freely. Materials: Cheesecloth Styrofoam mannequin heads Sponge brush Watered-down glue or fabric stiffener Screw eyes Monofilament Removable adhesive hooks (like command brand or painters tape).
