DIY Face Cleansing Oil

How many of you take care of your face?

I never used to, no lotions, creams,

cleansing oils etc BUT now do I! Wrinkles, crows feet

and blotching of the skin. I have a whole regiment.

I love making these types of things myself

though because you know what's going on

your face, who's willing to give this a try?

What you'll need:

1 tbsp Castor Oil

1 tbsp Jojoba Oil

2 tbsp Apricot Kernel Oil

2 tbsp Hemp Seed Oil

Essential oils if desired - we used 1 drop each

of the following: Lavender, Frankincense, Patchouli and Ylang Ylang

Amber Dropper Bottle 50ml

***Note, I would use the brand NOW essential oils

which you can find on Amazon along with

the amber dropper bottle; DON"T use Walmart brand

essential oils on your body!***

Create:

Place oils (and essential oils if desired) into your

chosen dropper bottle and shake well.

Leave to infuse overnight.

Now to use:

Shake before use.Splash warm water on

your face to open up the pores.

Using your fingers, gently massage 3-5 drops of

the oil mixture into your face, using a circular motion

for about a minute. This will loosen the dirt and bacteria

from your pores and help draw it to the surface.

With a warm, wet washcloth, dab your face by pressing

lightly all over, allowing the oils to penetrate deeper.

Rinse the washcloth with hot water and place

flat onto your face to steam.

Afterwards, thoroughly wipe your face with the washcloth.

Rinse again and repeat if necessary to

ensure all the oil is removed.

Splash your face with cold water to close pores.

Your skin will feel soft, smooth and highly moisturized.

Follow with a hydrosol and light moisturizer if needed.

Fall Simmering Potpourri

I love the smell of fall, I even like fall itself.  I just don't like what follows... winter!  However I love walking in my home and smelling  the fall scents that are so warm and inviting. Making this simmering potpourri is extremely easy! What you'll need: Tangerine or orange peels Cloves Cinnamon sticks or ground cinnamon Vanilla extract Pumpkin pie spice Water Small crockpot, saucepan or tea kettle You can choose how much you want to put in  of what, there really is no magic amount. I normally put  in more of my favorite scents. If using a tea kettle  or a sauce pan keep in mind you will have to keep  adding water to it. If you use a crockpot you  will not have to keep adding water and you can keep  it on even when you're asleep. Some other ideas that you can add are: Apple juice (instead of water) Cranberries Nutmeg Anise (one of my favorites) Dried fruit Coffee beans Have you ever made a simmering potpourri pot?  What do you normal...
