All you need is resistance bands.... if you are doing these right you will feel a burn in your glutes while performing these.... Choose any 2 exercises below and set a timer for 3 minutes, perform 20-30 reps of each exercise before switching to the next one. Alternate the 2 exercises for the full 3 minutes without breaks. Repeat the steps above with the next 2 exercises and the another set with the last 2 exercies. DIY Oatmeal Bath

You DO NOT need Aveeno, you can make your own and it is so much cheaper! All you need to do is buy some Quaker Oats and Dry Milk.... Use 1/2c of oats and 1/2c of milk, mix together in a blender. Keep in a rubbermaid container. Pour desired amount into bath, add some essential oils if you'd like.

Easy Skillet Chicken Primavera

This is a Mediterranean Diet recipe Easy Skillet Chicken Primavera Serves 6 Ingredients: 1/2c all purpose flour 1T dried parsley 1t dried basil 1 1/2 lbs skinless boneless chicken breasts cut into strips  1/4c evoo 1T minced garlic 2 1/4c low sodium chicken stock 1c frozen mixed veggies 1 pint grape tomates, halved 1 bunch green onions, diagonally sliced 1 medium zucchini, quartered and sliced 2T sun dried tomato pesto salt and pepper to taste Directions: Whisk together flour, parsley and basil in a medium bowl, add chicken strips and toss until well coated. Heat evoo in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook turning occasionally, until lightly browned on the outside and no longer pink about 10 min. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add chicken stock, mixed veggies, tomatoes, green onions, zucchini and pesto. Cook, stirring occasionally until heated through about 10 minutes. Serve o

Mama Mia Meatball Taquitos

Want something that is easy, sounds funny to kids and it should definitely be kid approved? Well here ya go, what kid doesn't love meatballs and taquitos? Recipe makes 1 dozen... Ingredients: 12 froze fully cooked Italian meatballs, thawed 2c shredded mozzarella cheese 1c ricotta cheese 1t Italian seasoning 12 8" flour tortillas cooking spray warm marinara sauce Directions: Preheat oven to 425, place meatballs in a food processor, pulse until finely chopped. Transfer to a large bowl, stir in cheeses and seasoning. Spread about 1/4c meatball mixture down center of each tortilla. Roll up tightly and place in a greased 15x10x1" baking pan, seam side down and spritz with cooking spray. Bake until golden brown, about 16-20 minutes and serve with the marinara sauce.

DIY Silly Putty

Need something to do that's different while your kids are home? How about a kind of science experiment? Homemade Silly Putty! I say a science experiment because I had to make this with my son for something special in his STEM class and it takes a few times before you actually get silly putty lol What you need: 1t Borax 4oz Bottle of (washable) Classic Glitter Glue Water, equivalent to the amount of glue you are using Instructions: Mix together a 1 to 1 mixture of glue and water. Stir the glue and water together until completely mixed. Dissolve 1t of borax into 4oz of warm water. Pour borax mixture into the water and glue mixture and stir. Keep stirring, after a few seconds the mixture should “gel” up. You now have silly putty! If you find it becoming stiff, put it in the microwave and heat it up for 5-15 seconds. Store in a zip-loc bag.

Workouts for Kids

These are all great exercises you can do from home! The best part is they are all kid friendly, so get your kids active! If you can't do some of these (I know I can't with my joints) cheer your child on as they do them. It's just as important for you child to stay active as it is yourself! Mountain Climbers: Get into a push-up position and then alternate bringing your knee to your elbow. You can do same side connections or crisscross. The idea is to move fast and work up a sweat. Bear Crawls: Palms and feet flat on the floor, arch your back so that you look like a mamma bear. Race your kids across the room. If they are young add some fun by having a competition of who can “roar” the loudest! Star Jumps: Kids love these, Stand tall and then explosively jump into the air, expanding your legs and your arms so that you look like a large X in the air. A Whole New World

Dear Diary, All I can say is WOW! I can't compound all the words right now, so as time goes on I will give more of the story. As of right now I was adopted, awesome parents, great childhood! Always wanted to know my medical background, I have kids I really wanted to know if any dangerous things out there run in my family? It was cool to find out my lineage from 23 and me a few years ago. When I first got back my results I was kind of scared wondering if there would be any biological relatives on there. There was but 3 rd and higher up cousins. Until 3/20/2020....then there was more, a whole lot more.... so much to take in, so much to think about and try to process!

Can't Leave? Walk Around Your House!

We all know that walking is good for you, sometimes you can't get to a gym, the weather may be bad BUT you can still get your walking done in your home! First set your step goal for the day. Get your steps in whenever you can, take a 10 minute walk up and down your stairs, walk in place for a while, pace a hallway or do a 30 minute walking video in front of your TV. Once you have your goal in place make sure you are taking the steps to try to achieve them, I like to try and go over my goal if possible. If you don't have a fitness tracker most of your phones have walking apps on them. You can also add bodyweight exercises while you are walking in place, alternate some lunges, squats, butt kickers or sidekicks. So for example walk in place for 3 minutes and do a set of the bodyweight exercises of 10-15. The main goal is to get in as many steps as you can and getting your heart rate up as you do it so it counts as an actual cardio workout.

Homemade Anxiety Nasal Diffuser

You can order these diffusers in a bulk bag on eBay for hardly anything. You can make so many different types of diffusers, they are essentially like the Vick's ones you buy at the store when you are sick. 2 of the scents for anxiety is Lemon & Lavender, so I take the Cotton stick and place it on top of a paper towel. I then add 10 drops of lavender and roll it around. Then I use about 15 drops of the lemon and roll it around again. Put your nasal diffuser together and you can use it whenever you need it!

Garlic Bread Pizza

Now I don't know how your eating habits are? I try and do what they call one "cheat meal" a week when I am doing everything I should be doing! (Some weeks or days you slide) we are only human.... this is going to be a very easy but delicious cheat meal, I couldn't find a picture with the garlic bread with cheese but that is what you need to get. Ingredients:   Garlic Bread Pizza Sauce Pepperoni Italian Cheese Directions: Put pizza sauce, pepperoni and cheese on top of the garlic bread and cook following garlic bread instructions on the box. It's that easy and you have dinner!!

Weight Challenge

WOW! I look at that picture and I can't believe that was me! You never really realize how big you are/were until you look at a picture like that. I changed my life and for the better! I dropped down to 138lbs, over a few years I have gained 30 of it back! I saw that picture yesterday and it gave me that drive to want to get this extra weight back off! I wanna lose that 30lbs and get fit! I know I will never lose this extra skin and I will never feel “skinny” in my own body but at least I will be healthy! This is another reason why I am doing the weight loss challenge on the FB group, I have found most people work better together, so I am hopeful that we all challenge each other to become the person we want to be!

Homemade Hand Scrub

Over the next week or so I am going to post a bunch of DIY stuff for your house and for your body. I like to believe in the practice of more natural stuff if I can and right now its getting harder to find store bought supplies anyways. Today I am going to tell you how to make your own hand scrub, with all the washing and using hand sanitizer I don't know about you but my hands are a mess. I made some of this last week and I have been using it every night before I go to bed. What you need: 1/2c of sugar 1T olive oil 10-15 drops of lavender or lemon essential oil How to make it: Mix all ingredients put into a small mason jar or a rubbermaid container, it doesn't have to be fancy. Rub it all over your hands, rinse slightly with water and pat dry. Your hands will thank you!.

I can't always and don't always want to go to the gym so I look for anything I can do at home or in my neighborhood to help me lose weight. I absolutley love to dance and I have always wanted this workout video called Cize. When it first came out it was $60 I know some places it's still that high but I have been able to find it on eBay for $9.99 and other various prices. Serves 4 Calories 283 Carbs 27g Protien 6g Ingredients: 4 large flat mushrooms 1T olive oil, plus a bit extra for frying 2 roasted red peppers finely chopped 1/2 small pack thyme leaves chopped 50g fresh breadcrumb 1T sundried tomato paste 2t smoked paprika 3 red onions, thinly sliced 1T sugar 1T sherry vinegar For the Roasted Garlic Mayo : 3 cloves of garlic 50g of mayo To Serve: 4 cibatta rolls salad leaves 25g cheddar cheese grated Directions: Heat up the barbecue. To make the garlic mayo, wrap the garlic cloves in a foil parcel, position on a hot spot of the barbecue and cook for 20 mins until really soft. Alternatively, bake in a hot oven for 20-30 mins. Leave to cool, then squeeze the cloves out of their skins and mash with a fork. Mix the garlic purée with the mayonnaise, then chill until ready to serve. Strawberry Protein Smoothie

This is great for breakfast or for an after workout meal! Ingredients: 1/2c almond milk 1/2c greek yogurt 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 3*5 frozen strawberries Instructions: Place all ingredients in the blender, if it is not thick enough for you try adding a few ice cubes and mixing again. I will also from time to time add a teaspoon of honey or ¼ cup oatmeal. You don't have to do the last two options. Without the honey and oatmeal it is 304 calories and the protein will depend on what brand you use.

Coconut Oil Lip Balm

This is so easy to make and feels great on your lips! I especially like to wear it at night too. Now there is no big science to this recipe. What you will need is some jello shot containers which you can get on eBay and Amazon. Next you will need coconut oil, jojoba oil and peppermint essential oils. Since there is no magic amount of coconut oil to use (and this stuff does not go bad for a long time) start off with 1/4c or 1/2c of coconut oil. You want to mix it in a mixer until it starts looking like icing. Once it has that consistency add 1T of jojoba oil and 5 drops of peppermint essential oil. Mix everything together and then put into your cups.

Paleo Slow Cooker Chipotle Chicken

Slow Cooker Chipotle Chicken Cook Time: 8 Hours, Yield: 8 Servings Ingredients: 2t ground chipotle chili powder 2t onion powder 1/2t garlic powder 1/2t ground cumin 2t salt 2T honey 1 - 6oz can tomato paste 1c chicken stock 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts Directions: Whisk together the spices, sea salt, honey, and tomato paste in a slow cooker. Whisk in a small amount of chicken stock at a time until the mixture isn’t quite as thick before adding the rest of the chicken stock. Whisk until completely combined. Place the chicken breasts into the tomato/spice mixture and turn to coat both sides. Top the slow cooker with the lid and set the program for 4 hours on high heat or 8 hours on low heat. When the cooking time is done, use two forks to pull apart the meat into shreds. Serve immediately with your choice of sides. DIY Dusting Spray

This recipe is my favorite, I have been using it for almost 3 years now and it is so much cheaper than buying Pledge! Here is how you make it.... 1c Water 1/4c Vinegar 2t Olive Oil 10-15 drops of Lemon essential oil Now depending on the size of my spray bottle I will repeat the ingredients. The spray bottle I have I had to triple. The only thing you don't have to use more of (but you can) is the lemon oil. Make sure you shake your bottle before each use.

Why Clean with Vinegar?

I love to clean with vinegar, I can't stand the smell of bleach, I feel like its burning my lungs. I use vinegar in the kitchen, the bathroom and so much more. Vinegar can tackle salmonella, e. coli and other bacterias. Its acidity is what makes it a good cleaner, it can counteract icky buildups like soap scum, brines left by hard water and even glue left behind by stickers. Today I am going to teach you how to mop with vinegar. In addition to the vinegar you will need:  Castile Soap (which is made by hemp) Anywho, grab your bucket mix 1c of vinegar & 1/4c of the castile soap with hot water, you can add about 10 drops of essential oil to mask the vinegar, just watch what scent you use because some can be harmful to your pets. Example I can no longer use peppermint it is bad for our snakes. Why a Blog

I ran a very successful couponing blog for a while, I had over 4,000 members. I worked on it all day long to find the best deal on anything you can think of and I really enjoyed doing it but it started to consume me and I didn't really have time for anything else so I stopped.
