Why a Blog



I ran a very successful couponing blog for a while, I had over 4,000 members. I worked on it all day long to find the best deal on anything you can think of and I really enjoyed doing it but it started to consume me and I didn't really have time for anything else so I stopped.

I had started this blog originally to follow my weight loss journey however I wanted it to be more than just that I wanted to be able to help people in the process, that is why there is so much on this blog besides stories of me.

As I continue and it grows I hope to add even more, I hope more people will start to chime in and extend the blog even more. I want to help women out there feel good about themselves!

DIY Candy Corn Sugar Scrub

  Okay, okay last day of fall sugar scrubs for now. This recipe makes about 1 1/2c What you need: 1 1/2c sugar 1/2c coconut oil 1tsp vanilla extract 4 drops vitamin e oil orange food gel yellow food gel small mason jars Create: Add the sugar, vanilla, vitamin e and coconut oil in a bowl and mix with a mixer. Divide the mixture evenly into 3 small bowls. Set aside one bowl (this will be for the white section of the candy corn). To the second bowl, add a third of the sugar and a small amount of orange food gel with a toothpick. Add more color if needed. Set aside. Add a small add a third of the sugar amount of yellow food gel to the third bowl and stir well, add more color if needed. Set aside. The other bowl should have your white sugar in it. Grab your mason jar and place the yellow mixture first, then the orange and then the white.

Diced Italian Chicken

  Diced Italian Chicken   Ingredients   3lb boneless, skinless chicken breast 1/4c Kraft Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing 1 bag of baby spinach 2 onions 1 jar of sundried tomatoes   Directions   Chop your chicken into little chunks and throw in a skillet, you do not need oil because your chicken is wet enough, cook over medium to high heat.   While your chicken is cooking start chopping your spinach, chop your onions and drain the oil off of the sundried tomatoes. Once the chicken is no longer pink add the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Once the dressing is seared on add all your veggies and cook over low to medium heat for about 10 minutes. 

Cilantro Lime Chicken Drumsticks

This recipe is low carb and budget friendly. This serves 3 servings, so if you have more than 3 people in the house double it, heck double it anyways even if you don't and have leftovers. What you'll need: 2T evoo 4 cloves garlic, minced 1/2tsp cumin 1/2tsp salt black pepper 2 limes 1/2 bunch cilantro 6 chicken legs How to make: Combine the olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and some freshly cracked pepper (about 10-15 cranks of a mill) in a bowl. Use a zester, microplane, or small-holed cheese grater to remove the zest from one of the limes. Add about 1 tsp zest and 3 Tbsp juice to the marinade. Pull the leaves from 1/4 bunch of cilantro and chop finely. Add the chopped cilantro to the marinade and stir to combine. The other 1/4 bunch of cilantro will be added after baking.
