Can't Leave? Walk Around Your House!



We all know that walking is good for you, sometimes you can't get to a gym, the weather may be bad BUT you can still get your walking done in your home!

First set your step goal for the day. Get your steps in whenever you can, take a 10 minute walk up and down your stairs, walk in place for a while, pace a hallway or do a 30 minute walking video in front of your TV.

Once you have your goal in place make sure you are taking the steps to try to achieve them, I like to try and go over my goal if possible.

If you don't have a fitness tracker most of your phones have walking apps on them.

You can also add bodyweight exercises while you are walking in place, alternate some lunges, squats, butt kickers or sidekicks. So for example walk in place for 3 minutes and do a set of the bodyweight exercises of 10-15.

The main goal is to get in as many steps as you can and getting your heart rate up as you do it so it counts as an actual cardio workout.

DIY Cheesecloth Ghosts

I absolutely love these! I love decorating for Halloween, I have to say it is my favorite holiday. I don't think you can have enough decorations up! So when I found this DIY project I just had to share!   DIY Cheesecloth Ghosts     You can find styrofoam mannequin heads at wig shots. They normally can stand on their necks but for this project you need to suspend them to let the cloth flow freely. Materials: Cheesecloth Styrofoam mannequin heads Sponge brush Watered-down glue or fabric stiffener Screw eyes Monofilament Removable adhesive hooks (like command brand or painters tape).     Steps: Apply a layer of cheesecloth to the head, then generously brush over head and face with glue. Use hands to smooth the cloth into the facial features. Don't brush down the neck, stop at chin level so the fabric is loose below that. Mama Mia Meatball Taquitos

Want something that is easy, sounds funny to kids and it should definitely be kid approved? Well here ya go, what kid doesn't love meatballs and taquitos? Recipe makes 1 dozen... Ingredients: 12 froze fully cooked Italian meatballs, thawed 2c shredded mozzarella cheese 1c ricotta cheese 1t Italian seasoning 12 8" flour tortillas cooking spray warm marinara sauce Directions: Preheat oven to 425, place meatballs in a food processor, pulse until finely chopped. Transfer to a large bowl, stir in cheeses and seasoning. Spread about 1/4c meatball mixture down center of each tortilla. Roll up tightly and place in a greased 15x10x1" baking pan, seam side down and spritz with cooking spray. Bake until golden brown, about 16-20 minutes and serve with the marinara sauce.
