DIY Scrabble Coasters

I have been wanting to make these for a long time and have been collecting scrabble tiles. These would be very easy to make with a bit of time (for spelling) lol and just a few supplies.   What you need....   Scrabble Tiles Felt Wood Glue Hot Glue Gun     These would be fun to make with the family and to get as many words flowing together as you could. Sit down and spell your words out, glue together with wood glue and use the hot glue gun on the back to put the felt too so it don't scratch any tables, the felt will also help with sweating from your drinks.       I found this idea on Pinterest , where you can find other great DIY ideas too!

9/21/15 Joke of the Day

A mother took her six-year old daughter to the ballet. This was the first time the little girl had ever seen a ballet and she watched wide-eyed as the ballerinas pranced around the stage on their toes. When the ballet was over, the mother asked her daughter if she had any questions. "Yes, Mommy," the little girl replied, "Wouldn't it be easier if they just hired taller dancers?"     Thank you Joke Buddha

The 28-Day Squat Challenge

I wonder how much truth is in that above statement? I am not a big fan of squats, it hurts my knees more than it bothers me anywhere else. I always laugh with my husband saying I can do a plie all day but a squat pfft, I don't think so...lol....but in all seriousness I found a challenge on My Fitness Pal, it's the 28 Day Squat Challenge.     This challenge looks awesome, and if you are trying to loose weight or tone up you should give this challenge a try! You will do a different squat variation each week for a month. The variations get more difficult as the month progresses. Each day has a target number or reps for which you should aim. You can do them all in one go or spread them out throughout the day. If you fail to reach the target number of reps with perfect form you must go back to the beginning of that 7 day period. You may not have heard of each variation, so how to do them properly is explained in the My Fitness Pal Post.   Ready for the challenge? Cli

Thrift Stores

Tomorrow 9/16/15 is the "Ohio Thrift" stores half priced day. My eeny weeny Blog will be closed tomorrow, not just for half priced day but also it is my day to grocery shop for my dad and myself and it's cleaning day, so it will be a very busy day....BUT....that is not why I am making this post. So now you are sitting there asking yourself, "why is she making this post then?" Well it's because the Thrift Store can be more than just a clothing & dishes store. I don't know how many of you really browse the thrift store but it can become your best friend when it comes to items to help you get a workout in!   I posted a while ago how to make a homemade medicine ball from a cheap basketball found at the thrift store, we have no since made 2 more. You can find that info by clicking here.  Recently we just got an exercise ball for only $2.99 with it's pump at the Ohio Thrift Store on Broad Street in Columbus right by Value City Furniture.

When Nobody is Watching....Dance!

We all know about Zumba, which I don't know about you but I just can't do the whole Zumba thing. I do however enjoy the songs, I enjoy to dance and I can keep a rhythm. I did ballet when I was younger and I have always wanted to get into some hip hop classes (need to lose a bit of weight first) BUT there is no reason you can't shut your doors, pull your curtains close and get down at home!   You can burn some calories if you are dancing, not slow dancing but getting down with your bad self! Now you are not going to loose al the weight you are wanting too by dancing every day, you can however add it to your workout routine, or if you can't get to the gym that day get your groove on!      It is important just like with any workout to watch your caloric intake. You don't want to add too many calories to your diet because you can wind up maintaining your weight or gaining weight! Make sure you keep your intake to an appropriate amount! Manage
