Best Ways to Save Money on Gas

Everything is going up! Food, gas, clothes you name it, it has gone up!

We all need a little help in saving every penny we can. Below are the

best ways to help save money on gas.

Join a gas station rewards program

Get a warehouse club membership

Use GasBuddy

Carpool whenever it's convenient

Keep your tires properly inflated

Maximize your regular routes

Drive with fuel efficiency in mind

Buy a more fuel efficient car on your next car replacement.

Gas station rewards programs can be awesome. I shop at Kroger's a lot,

what I do to help earn even more fuel points is I buy a visa or

mastercard gift card because they are normally 2x or 4x the fuel points.

I then use that gift card to checkout.

So by the time I checkout I normally have at least .20 off!

If you belong to a warehouse membership their gas is normally

always cheaper than anywhere else. If you don't belong to one and

think you would shop there on occasion sign up and start getting

gas cheaper instantly!

GasBuddy is a great tool, no matter where you are at it will show

you the cheapest gas.

Your tires are important to saving money on gas too, for every 1 pounds

per square inch per tire that is deflated below maximum recommended

levels you lose 0.2% in fuel efficiency in your car.

Maximizing your regular routes, carefully look at the 10 places you go

to most frequently and see whether or not there are more efficient

ways to get to those places. Saving a few minutes on the road saves

you gas in the long run.

Keep in mind the other ways to save money on gas and work on not making unnecessary trips out.

Apple Ginger Fizz for Fall

The kids deserve a special drink for the fall besides apple cider. This is a great fall mocktail with a beautiful flavor combination. Not just for the kiddos. This makes 1 drink What  you'll need: 3 oz still apple cider 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice 6 mint leaves 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar Pinch powdered cinnamon 3 oz ginger ale Create: Place apple cider, lime juice, cinnamon, apple cider vinegar and a few ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. If you don't have a shaker, anything with a tight lid will work, such as a mason jar or drink bottle. Clap the mint together in your hands to release the scent, and add to the shaker. Shake for about 20-30 seconds until ingredients are combined. Pour into an ice filled glass and top with ginger ale. Stir gently, garnish with mint, dried citrus or a cinnamon stick, and serve.
