DIY Back Pain Relief Cream

I did a blog post today about yoga poses for back pain, so I figured

I would keep that going with a DIY natural back pain relief cream.

I have not tried this one so I don't know how well it works. I know this

one sounds really odd but if you have pain, natural relief is

always worth trying!

What you'll need:

1T honey

1T mustard

1T salt

1T baking soda

Create:

Warm up the mustard, mix all ingredients together until they blend into

a smooth texture. The baking soda might bubble at first when it comes

into contact with the mustard but keep stirring and it will go back to normal.

Stir for about 5 minutes. The cream you made should be placed in the fridge

and lasts for 3 days.

Before applying, slightly warm the cream and then apply directly on

the sore area. Place some plastic wrap over the area. Cover with a towel

and leave for at least 3 hours. It is best to apply before bed. In the morning,

remove the towel and plastic wrap and wash the area with soap and

warm water. Repeat the treatment for 2-3 days in a row for best results.

I might give this a try! If you do please let me know what you think.

Apple Ginger Fizz for Fall

The kids deserve a special drink for the fall besides apple cider. This is a great fall mocktail with a beautiful flavor combination. Not just for the kiddos. This makes 1 drink What  you'll need: 3 oz still apple cider 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice 6 mint leaves 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar Pinch powdered cinnamon 3 oz ginger ale Create: Place apple cider, lime juice, cinnamon, apple cider vinegar and a few ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. If you don't have a shaker, anything with a tight lid will work, such as a mason jar or drink bottle. Clap the mint together in your hands to release the scent, and add to the shaker. Shake for about 20-30 seconds until ingredients are combined. Pour into an ice filled glass and top with ginger ale. Stir gently, garnish with mint, dried citrus or a cinnamon stick, and serve.

Chicken & Dumplings

This recipe is a Cracker Barrel Copycat. There is nothing more comforting (as far as comfort food goes) as chicken and dumplings, or at least that's the way I feel. Ready for the recipe? What you are going to need: 2c flour 1/2tsp baking powder 1 pinch of salt 2T butter 1c buttermilk 2 quarts chicken broth 3c cooked chicken Step 1: Start by boiling the chicken. Once the chicken is cooked, shred them into smaller pieces. Set aside and make the dumplings. Heat the 2 quarts of chicken broth In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder and salt. With a fork mix the butter along with the dry ingredients. Stir in the buttermilk with the dough until it forms like a ball. Knead the ball on a floured surface and use a rolling pin, with a pizza cutter cut the dumplings into squares (about 2” strips). Make sure you cut them about the same...
