Fried Calamari with Tabasco & Honey Drizzle & Cilantro Aioli

I tried calamari 3 years ago and fell in love,

I couldn't pass this recipe up! The recipe doesn't

show how many it will feed.

For the calamari:

1lb clean calamari, with tentacles cut into 1/2" rings

1/2c flour

1/4c cornstarch

1/2tsp salt

1/2tsp pepper

1/2tsp paprika

1-2c veggie oil for frying

For the tabasco & honey drizzle:

1 1/2T honey

2 dashes tabasco sauce

For the cilantro aioli:

3/4c mayo

1/2c cilantro leaves

1/2tsp salt

1/4tsp pepper

1/2tsp cumin

1tsp lime juice and the zest

Make your calamari:

Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium high heat.

While it's heating cut your squid into the 1/2" rings.

Mix flour, cornstarch and spices in a large bowl, then add

calamari rings and toss until completely coated.

Once the oil is hot enough add 1/4 of the calamari and fry

for 3-4 minutes. Place cooked calamari on a large platter

with a paper towel, continue to cook the remaining calamari.

For the tabasco & honey drizzle; just mix the 2 together

and drizzle over your hot calamari.

For the cilantro aioli, in a blender combine all ingredients

until smooth. Serve as a dipping sauce for your calamari.

DIY Cheesecloth Ghosts

I absolutely love these! I love decorating for Halloween, I have to say it is my favorite holiday. I don't think you can have enough decorations up! So when I found this DIY project I just had to share!   DIY Cheesecloth Ghosts     You can find styrofoam mannequin heads at wig shots. They normally can stand on their necks but for this project you need to suspend them to let the cloth flow freely. Materials: Cheesecloth Styrofoam mannequin heads Sponge brush Watered-down glue or fabric stiffener Screw eyes Monofilament Removable adhesive hooks (like command brand or painters tape).     Steps: Apply a layer of cheesecloth to the head, then generously brush over head and face with glue. Use hands to smooth the cloth into the facial features. Don't brush down the neck, stop at chin level so the fabric is loose below that. Repeat until you have 4 layers each being 7 feet long of cheesecloth...
