This blog post should have gone up over the past weekend, so

it is going to be founded in the kids corner page, still have a

crockpot recipe to put up.

We are getting closer to Halloween, this is actually the last

"Kids Corner" post before Halloween. Do you dare make this pasta?

If you do it will serve 4.

Ingredients:

6 large garlic cloves

1T salt

1lb dried squid ink spaghetti (found at specialty stores)

1/3c evoo

1tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Create:

Finely chop the garlic and set aside. Bring a large pan of

water to a boil, add salt and cook the pasta according

to the package directions.

While the pasta is cooking, place the evoo and chopped garlic

into a large pan. Cook over low heat for 4 minutes

stirring frequently.

Add the red pepper flakes and cook for 30 seconds more.

Take a 1/2c of the pasta water and carefully add it to the garlic oil.

Let this mixture simmer until you are ready to drain

the pasta. Reserve another cup of the pasta cooking water

before you drain the pasta.

Add the cooked pasta to the garlic mixture and stir well to

combine, over high heat.

Add more cooking water if needed and serve immediately.
