Say what? Sauerkraut soup, I'm sold, the rest of my family
not so much so when I make it I will have to find someone
to share it with. If you're in my hood let me know!
It will make 12 servings.
What you'll need:
1 medium potato, cut into 1/4" cubes
1lb smoked kielbasa, cut into 1/2" cubes
1 32oz can sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
4c chicken broth
1 10-3/4oz condensed cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
1/2lb sliced mushrooms
1c cubed cooked chicken
2 medium carrots, sliced
2 celery ribs, sliced
2T white vinegar
2tsp dill weed
1/2tsp pepper
4 bacon strips cooked and crumbled
Directions:
In a 5qt slow cooker, combine the first 12 ingredients.
Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours or until veggies are tender.
Skim the fat off and garnish with bacon.
