Fall is here….


 


Do you decorate your house for fall? I normally

get the cinnamon scented pine cones (and keep cinnamon essential

oils around to add when the scent starts to die down).


I also take cute cheap mini vases from the dollar store

and put cinnamon sticks in them.


I’ve made the cinnamon tide candle that

is under a DIY post.


I’ve also taken leave garland and draped around

the top of my curtains.


I am going to have to change all that up now since I have snakes,

cinnamon is really bad for them.


Besides decorating what do you do? Do you start planning your

Thanksgiving meal? What do you guys eat for Thanksgiving?

Cory for the last few years has smoked a turkey and it's incredible!

We have mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, rolls

topped with honey and butter and some sort of veggie.


Do you do black friday shopping? I do some years, this year

who knows what's going to happen I’ve heard claims some

stores aren’t doing it?


When do you put up your tree? We do it the

day after Thanksgiving.

Mama Mia Meatball Taquitos

Want something that is easy, sounds funny to kids and it should definitely be kid approved? Well here ya go, what kid doesn't love meatballs and taquitos? Recipe makes 1 dozen... Ingredients: 12 froze fully cooked Italian meatballs, thawed 2c shredded mozzarella cheese 1c ricotta cheese 1t Italian seasoning 12 8" flour tortillas cooking spray warm marinara sauce Directions: Preheat oven to 425, place meatballs in a food processor, pulse until finely chopped. Transfer to a large bowl, stir in cheeses and seasoning. Spread about 1/4c meatball mixture down center of each tortilla. Roll up tightly and place in a greased 15x10x1" baking pan, seam side down and spritz with cooking spray. Bake until golden brown, about 16-20 minutes and serve with the marinara sauce.

DIY Cheesecloth Ghosts

I absolutely love these! I love decorating for Halloween, I have to say it is my favorite holiday. I don't think you can have enough decorations up! So when I found this DIY project I just had to share!   DIY Cheesecloth Ghosts     You can find styrofoam mannequin heads at wig shots. They normally can stand on their necks but for this project you need to suspend them to let the cloth flow freely. Materials: Cheesecloth Styrofoam mannequin heads Sponge brush Watered-down glue or fabric stiffener Screw eyes Monofilament Removable adhesive hooks (like command brand or painters tape).     Steps: Apply a layer of cheesecloth to the head, then generously brush over head and face with glue. Use hands to smooth the cloth into the facial features. Don't brush down the neck, stop at chin level so the fabric is loose below that. Repeat until you have 4 layers each being 7 feet long of cheesecloth...
