While working out you should be sore, not in pain but a good sore.
There are a few things you should be doing to help your muscles.
Before working out you should heat wherever is sore
with a heating pad for 20 minutes. Add something to your
sore areas after that before heading to the gym like icy
hot or something along those lines, even the DIY creams.
While you are working out, drink BCAA’s that help your muscles.
After you workout get a protein shake in.
Lastly when you get home from your workout ice your
sore areas for 20 minutes.
A side note too, if you aren’t stretching before and after
workouts you need to do that too.
This applies whether you are working out at home or at the gym.
