DIY Snow Mouse

I posted Saturday that this whole week was going to be all Disney related seeing as how Christmas is the most magical time of the year and Disney is the most magical place on earth. Below is a cute DIY you can do if you're a Disney lover or to do with the kiddos.

What you'll need:

store bought pom pom makers

colored felt

scissors

3 skeins of 4 or 5 weight white yarn

pencil

hot glue gun and sticks

buttons

floral wire

wire cutters

3/16 dowel rod

Create:

Use the pom pom maker to build 4 pom poms. You need one 4 1/2”

one 3 3/8” and two 1 5/8” pom poms to build

one snow mouse.

Cut a 6” piece of the dowel rod and stick it through

the 4 1/2” pom pom until it hits the bottom.

Lift halfway up, apply some hot glue and re-insert.

Attach the 3 3/8” pom pom to the top of the

dowel rod and secure with glue.

To attach the ears carefully cut

two 3” pieces of floral wire. Stick the wire

through the pair of 1 5/8” pom poms and secure

with hot glue. With the ears on the wire,

carefully push through the top

pom of the snow mouse, lift halfway

out and apply hot glue and re-insert.

With the colored felt cut out

eyes, a carrot nose and a scarf.

Attach the face and scarf with hot

glue and glue 2 buttons down the front

of the mouse. For a Minnie create

a bow for the top of the head.

You can embelish them with other Christmas

decor too.

DIY Cheesecloth Ghosts

I absolutely love these! I love decorating for Halloween, I have to say it is my favorite holiday. I don't think you can have enough decorations up! So when I found this DIY project I just had to share!   DIY Cheesecloth Ghosts     You can find styrofoam mannequin heads at wig shots. They normally can stand on their necks but for this project you need to suspend them to let the cloth flow freely. Materials: Cheesecloth Styrofoam mannequin heads Sponge brush Watered-down glue or fabric stiffener Screw eyes Monofilament Removable adhesive hooks (like command brand or painters tape).     Steps: Apply a layer of cheesecloth to the head, then generously brush over head and face with glue. Use hands to smooth the cloth into the facial features. Don't brush down the neck, stop at chin level so the fabric is loose below that. Repeat until you have 4 layers each being 7 feet long of cheesecloth...
