DIY Sock Olaf

Hi, I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs... or in this case socks lol. these

are a super cute idea and yet again something pretty easy to make.

What you'll need:

1 bobby sock

approx 1 1/3c rice

2 1" white pom poms

orange felt (for the nose)

googly eyes approx 1cm in diameter

adhesive backed black felt 1 sheet is enough for 12 snowmen

3 medium clear elastics

hot glue gun and glue

Create:

Pour about 3/4c rice into the bottom of the sock and squeeze and shake

it down until you have the shape you want for Olaf's bottom. Make sure

that the top of the sock is centered in the middle.

Using a clear hair band secure the sock tightly above the rice.

Pour just a bit over 1/8c of rice into the sock, squeeze and shake down

the rice and secure the section with a second hairband.

Pour a little less than 1/2c of the rice into the sock and squeeze and

shake down the rice. Shape the head so that it is taller than it is wide

and secure it with the third hairband.

Starting where the middle section touches the bottom section, secure

the ball with hot glue so that Olaf keeps his shape. Repeat where the head

and middle ball touch.

Create a mouth, buttons, hair (when attaching hair make sure you glue and

stick under the band so it stands up) and arms with the black felt. Cut them out

and stick them to Olaf. Glue the nose and the eyes on with hot glue.

Lastly add the pom pom feet.

Apple Ginger Fizz for Fall

The kids deserve a special drink for the fall besides apple cider. This is a great fall mocktail with a beautiful flavor combination. Not just for the kiddos. This makes 1 drink What  you'll need: 3 oz still apple cider 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice 6 mint leaves 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar Pinch powdered cinnamon 3 oz ginger ale Create: Place apple cider, lime juice, cinnamon, apple cider vinegar and a few ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. If you don't have a shaker, anything with a tight lid will work, such as a mason jar or drink bottle. Clap the mint together in your hands to release the scent, and add to the shaker. Shake for about 20-30 seconds until ingredients are combined. Pour into an ice filled glass and top with ginger ale. Stir gently, garnish with mint, dried citrus or a cinnamon stick, and serve.
