Lemon Pepper Wings

I love the taste of lemon pepper…
I even use it in my green beans with
A dash of salt, fresh squeezed lemon
And a bit of evoo...below is a must try
Recipe!

This recipe yields 12 wings
So adjust accordingly…

2lbs chicken wings
2T canola oil
1T honey
3 ½ tsp lemon pepper seasoning, divided
2T unsalted butter
2T freshly squeezed lemons
1/4tsp black pepper

Directions…
Place one rack in the center of the oven and one in the upper third. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Line a
large baking sheet with aluminum foil.
coat the rack with nonstick spray.
Set a large mixing bowl on the counter.

Top the wings with the canola oil, honey, and
2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning.
Stir to coat, then arrange the wings in a single layer
on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 18 minutes,
until the wings are cooked through.
The skin will start to shrink away from the
ends of the bones, and the wing juices will
clear when pieced with a fork.

Move the pan to the upper third of the oven
and turn the oven to broil. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes,
the wings darken and crisp a bit more.
Do not walk away to make sure the wings do not burn.

While the wings bake, in a small, microwave-safe bowl,
melt the butter. Add the wings to a large bowl,
then top with the melted butter, lemon juice,
black pepper, and remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon pepper.
Stir to coat. Transfer the wings to a serving plate and sprinkle with chopped green onions. Enjoy the heat.

Myself I would serve with the lemon green beans I mentioned
And some sliced baked garlic sweet potatoes.

Fall Simmering Potpourri

I love the smell of fall, I even like fall itself.  I just don't like what follows... winter!  However I love walking in my home and smelling  the fall scents that are so warm and inviting. Making this simmering potpourri is extremely easy! What you'll need: Tangerine or orange peels Cloves Cinnamon sticks or ground cinnamon Vanilla extract Pumpkin pie spice Water Small crockpot, saucepan or tea kettle You can choose how much you want to put in  of what, there really is no magic amount. I normally put  in more of my favorite scents. If using a tea kettle  or a sauce pan keep in mind you will have to keep  adding water to it. If you use a crockpot you  will not have to keep adding water and you can keep  it on even when you're asleep. Some other ideas that you can add are: Apple juice (instead of water) Cranberries Nutmeg Anise (one of my favorites) Dried fruit Coffee beans Have you ever made a simmering potpourri pot?  What do you normal...
