Signs of Bipolar Disorder That You May Not Realize

I have posted about me being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. I am type 2. If I look back at my childhood I can pretty much tell you when my “mental” turning point was. When I was 15 I was diagnosed. I have been on countless medications over the course of that time. Some doctors do not like to “label” a patient, but it is important to have the right diagnoses because bipolar disorder is treated differently then just depression or anxiety. Below are some signs that many don't think of or say “well that's not me”. Also I would like to note that it is not wise to try and seek a diagnosis from your PCP or medication as they are not really qualified to do so.

Since I was diagnosed and have learned a lot about it and how “episodes” effect me, I can tell when I am cycling through, Even though I am medicated, I still have “episodes” or “bad days”.

Signs of irritable & angry bipolar depression

You're upset at everyone and everything, even kittens make you mad.

Your thinking is out of control, you think about thinking, then you think about the fact that you are thinking, and then your thinking upsets you.

You second guess everything you do! You want to turn right and your brain says you should have turned left. You even do this with people in your life as well and nothing seems to ever feel right.

What is the point of doing anything when everything is so messed up? You yell a lot, you can't be softened, you will notice your language and “tone” will change.

You feel like there is no way you will ever reach your goals, you feel stuck!

Your body hurts, head, backaches, eye strain, painful hair. You can't get comfortable no matter how you position yourself!

You judge everyone and everything, especially yourself!

You have the “resting bitch face”, your judgmental feelings come out.

You have a negative worldview, you will find garbage in the world even when there is a rainbow in the sky!

You can't see the positive in anything, you are always negative!

You see no joy, no happiness, even when you are watching a funny movie or your child would normally make you laugh.

You stop your hobbies, or things that bring you joy

You are suspicious of others behavior and even your own,

You worry a lot even about nothing at all.

Deep inside you feel completely overwhelmed by everything including life.

You can pick apart anything, even the good in life.

You are mean, pure and simple, not a nice moment, word or look.

You can't stick with anything because you can't focus.

You can be physically aggressive, kicking, slamming doors, punching walls.

You can't see your behavior, someone has to point it out.

These are just some of the things you may go through, you may even “rapid cycle” through some of these things in a day. If you can agree or you can see these things in yourself, I would strongly recommend talking to your doctor about seeing a specialist.

If you just need someone to talk to I want you to know you can always message me!

DIY Tangled Inspired Paper Lanterns

I am trying to pick some of the Disney movies a lot of kids love, for the week ahead. I love Tangled, I think the way they did it was great! I was always a huge Beauty & the Beast fan and while that will forever be my all time favorite the newer Disney movies are just awesome with the animation and the songs. I have a whole Disney playlist on my phone for Celeste and you guessed it Tangled is on there, that is one of her favorites as well. I found this DIY and knew I had to blog it that way when she is older we can make them together. Here's what you'll need: construction paper toilet paper rolls scissors glue crayons Create: First, put construction paper around the toilet paper roll. Measure the construction paper and cut it to fit to size. It doesn't have to be perfect. On some of the rolls you can decide to add extra decorations. Like the Rapunzel sun and swirls before you glue it on to the toilet paper roll. Remember this ...
