Owning it!

Dear Diary....

I have noticed that since I have been focusing on eating better and trying to lose weight that I am starting to own my weight. I wonder if others do that, or know what I am talking about.

I am the type of person that tries to avoid the mirror, especially a full length mirror, now  I want to look, I want to notice everything so I can start noticing the changes. I have come to terms with the fact that I am overweight,  its not okay with me but I am going to be making changes. I have started making changes.

I think for me that something very positive to acknowledge all things I don't like about myself and share it, It keeps me grounded and focused on what I need to do.

One of the things I have done to "own it" is I have decided to get my hair cut too, I have worn my hair short on and off for years, but I have always tried to not go to short or still have some long hair around my face a bit to take away from how big it is. I have missed out on so many haircuts that I have wanted because of that fact, not anymore!

So I am going to own my weight, own me, be accountable for my actions now, in the past and in the future so I can become a better and healthier me!

Fall Simmering Potpourri

I love the smell of fall, I even like fall itself.  I just don't like what follows... winter!  However I love walking in my home and smelling  the fall scents that are so warm and inviting. Making this simmering potpourri is extremely easy! What you'll need: Tangerine or orange peels Cloves Cinnamon sticks or ground cinnamon Vanilla extract Pumpkin pie spice Water Small crockpot, saucepan or tea kettle You can choose how much you want to put in  of what, there really is no magic amount. I normally put  in more of my favorite scents. If using a tea kettle  or a sauce pan keep in mind you will have to keep  adding water to it. If you use a crockpot you  will not have to keep adding water and you can keep  it on even when you're asleep. Some other ideas that you can add are: Apple juice (instead of water) Cranberries Nutmeg Anise (one of my favorites) Dried fruit Coffee beans Have you ever made a simmering potpourri pot?  What do you normal...
