Don't Like to Exercise? Need to Start? Here are Some Tips!

Some people find it very hard to start working out, I am one of them! I have found that it really helps when you have someone with you, someone to help hold you accountable. You might not have that support system though, so you need to figure out something that will get you moving, a new outfit in a size you want to be in? An old picture of when you were healthier? Everyone will find what gets them going! Once you get going, it's so much easier too keep going!

Below are 10 tips to get you moving to a healthier you...

~ Commit to Consistency:
Repeat that! Make a commintment to sticking with your plan. If you find yourself not able to meet your goals, change them.
~Take Baby Steps:
When I started working out, I did what I could on the ellipitical, the first day it was only 10 minutes, the next day I bumped it up to 15 minutes and so on. Don't expect to be able to go an hour on your first day; weather it be on a machine or walking!
~Pick an Exercise that's Fun:
Exercise dosen't always have to happen at the gym! Do you like to climb rocks, shoot hoops, go to the playground with your kids? Start with the fun stuff and work your way up!
~Bring a Friend & Make it Competitive:
Having a workout partner is one of the most effective ways to be accountable and make your workout fun! Turn it into a competition and it's even better motivation!
~Join a Sports Team:
Joining a sports team can be even better than wokring out with 1 friend & it's a great way to get in a few workouts a week!
~Get into Music, Podcasts & Audiobooks:
Do you have an iPod, smart phone, tablet? Can't do group activities because of your schedule? Put together an inspiring workout mix and get moving to that!
~Get a Dog:
Puppies have a lot of energy! If you can't motivate yourself, then you can at least take your pup on a walk to burn off some of his energy and before you know it you will be ready to do more than just walking!
~Caffeine Charge:
Caffeine can be your friend, just don't abuse it! If you have had a long day and you are dragging energize yourself with a bit of caffeine and then work it off at the gym!
~Reward Yourself:
If you have been consistent, REWARD yourself!
