DIY Natural Treatments for Poison Ivy, Oak & More

I had a really bad case of poison oak recently.
I had a lot of people telling me to use different
natural treatments. Let me first start by saying
I did use over the counter items. Some of these
I did try and it offers a little relief, to some it may
offer more but it is something you have to do
frequently during the day not just once.

Rubbing alcohol, pour onto a wash cloth and rub onto affected area

Witch hazel & salt, mix together to make a paste and rub into effected area

Baking soda and water, mix together to make a paste and rub into effected area

Oatmeal bath

Aloe vera gel

Oddly the last one is heat, hot bath or a hair dryer to the skin.
You are probably thinking what?
When mine was itching bad I took the hair dryer to it,
it burns and itches really bad but I would
get about an hour relief from the itching!

Good luck if you have it, if you have a bad reaction make
sure you go see a dr so you can get on a steroid.

Goodbye Blogger

Over 12 years ago I started blogging. At first it was just traditional blogging of life etc. then it turned into extreme couponing which I did wonderfully at. Now I totally want to go into a new direction while still keeping some of what I normally post. Blogger has been giving me some issues lately and sadly I think someone has gotten into my blog because most of my viewers are overseas and I have a lot of odd comments on blog posts. Today’s blog posts will be the last ones done on blogger and I am switching to Weebly. Years ago I used another blog site but I tried that one and they changed it and it is not user friendly. Honestly the most user friendly is Blogger. I have also changed the name of the blog to Nana's Little Blog. I have already updated the Facebook group to the new name. Starting Tuesday you will see a whole new website and hopefully new content. For those of you that are in the facebook group I am going to add the blogger link to the featured section so you can sti...

DIY Tangled Inspired Paper Lanterns

I am trying to pick some of the Disney movies a lot of kids love, for the week ahead. I love Tangled, I think the way they did it was great! I was always a huge Beauty & the Beast fan and while that will forever be my all time favorite the newer Disney movies are just awesome with the animation and the songs. I have a whole Disney playlist on my phone for Celeste and you guessed it Tangled is on there, that is one of her favorites as well. I found this DIY and knew I had to blog it that way when she is older we can make them together. Here's what you'll need: construction paper toilet paper rolls scissors glue crayons Create: First, put construction paper around the toilet paper roll. Measure the construction paper and cut it to fit to size. It doesn't have to be perfect. On some of the rolls you can decide to add extra decorations. Like the Rapunzel sun and swirls before you glue it on to the toilet paper roll. Remember this ...
