DIY Bath Bombs

This is a simple bath bomb recipe. Bath bombs can be a bit tricky when you are making them, do too much of something they won't form, do too much of something and they fall apart. It is a trial and error.

What you will need is:
1c baking soda
1/2c citric acid
1/2c epsom salt
1tsp water
2tsp essential oil
3tsp olive oil
food coloring
bowl
whisk
jar
bath bomb mold (you can really use any silicone mold they don't have to be a circle)

Step 1:
Place all the dry ingredients in a bowl and then mix them all evenly with the whisk. To make the mix, you want to be sure to start with a dry bowl and mixing utensils. You don't want anything wet!

Step 2:
In a separate container mix all the liquid ingredients (this includes the food coloring and essential oil).

Step 3:
Slowly add the liquid mixture to the dry mix, one small spoon at a time.

Step 4:
Make your bomb! Start packing your mixture into your mold and pack tightly, then let it dry. You need to try and work quickly so as not to let the bath bomb mixture dry out.

When I made mine I normally let them set for a few hours, you can check on them from time to time, once they feel nice and hard, you can work on getting them out of the mold.

You can create fun mixture of colors and fragrances, don't be afraid to experiment!

Apple Ginger Fizz for Fall

The kids deserve a special drink for the fall besides apple cider. This is a great fall mocktail with a beautiful flavor combination. Not just for the kiddos. This makes 1 drink What  you'll need: 3 oz still apple cider 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice 6 mint leaves 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar Pinch powdered cinnamon 3 oz ginger ale Create: Place apple cider, lime juice, cinnamon, apple cider vinegar and a few ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. If you don't have a shaker, anything with a tight lid will work, such as a mason jar or drink bottle. Clap the mint together in your hands to release the scent, and add to the shaker. Shake for about 20-30 seconds until ingredients are combined. Pour into an ice filled glass and top with ginger ale. Stir gently, garnish with mint, dried citrus or a cinnamon stick, and serve.
