Mosquito Repellent Lotion Bars

It is that time a year and if you are like me this is worth a try! Mosquito love me; you know how they are attracted to certain blood types and other things to do with your body chemistry? Well I have like everything in me and I think that is why I can be sitting right next to my husband and he doesn't get bit but I do...lol... so yes I am going to be making these and trying them instead of putting so many harsh chemicals onto my skin.

Everything you need you can find on Amazon or eBay depending on which one you like more.

What you need:
1T Beeswax
4T Shea Butter (solid)
2T Coconut Oil
10 drops Miracle Glow Oil
10 drops Citronella Oil
5 drops Peppermint Oil
5 drops Lemon Oil
20 drops Lemongrass Oil
Small silicone mold

Now you're ready to make them...

Add all ingredients to a microwave safe bowl (or large glass Pyrex measuring cup). Cook for 40 second increments, stirring each time until everything is smooth. Pour your liquid into your mold and let sit until the bars are solid. Once they are store your bars in an airtight container.

All you do is rub the bars on your open skin and it "should" help. I say "should" only because I have not made them yet to confirm if they work.

Apple Ginger Fizz for Fall

The kids deserve a special drink for the fall besides apple cider. This is a great fall mocktail with a beautiful flavor combination. Not just for the kiddos. This makes 1 drink What  you'll need: 3 oz still apple cider 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice 6 mint leaves 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar Pinch powdered cinnamon 3 oz ginger ale Create: Place apple cider, lime juice, cinnamon, apple cider vinegar and a few ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. If you don't have a shaker, anything with a tight lid will work, such as a mason jar or drink bottle. Clap the mint together in your hands to release the scent, and add to the shaker. Shake for about 20-30 seconds until ingredients are combined. Pour into an ice filled glass and top with ginger ale. Stir gently, garnish with mint, dried citrus or a cinnamon stick, and serve.
