I
asked the group to give me 3 of their favorite herbs and or seasoning
and said I would find a recipe tailored around them. Someone said Old
Bay, Cajun and Lemon Pepper. This is the recipe I chose that all 3
she mentioned.
I
have always wanted to do a Cajun boil, I will for sure be giving this
a try!
What
you'll need:
1T
Cajun seasoning
1T
old bay
1T
lemon pepper
1T
paprika
1T
cayenne pepper
1T
garlic powder
2T
sugar
2
sticks butter
1/3c
water
chopped
garlic
shrimp/craw-fish/crab
corn/potatoes/sausage
Steps:
Mix
these together in a small bowl; 1T old bay, 1T of Cajun, 1T lemon
pepper, 1T of paprika, 1T of cayenne pepper, 1T garlic powder, 2T of
sugar.
Put
sticks of butter in a wok and stir for a bit.
Add
the seasoning and mix.
Add
1/3 cup of the water, taste and add any of the seasonings to adjust
to taste.
When
you achieve the taste you like, then add the shrimp (with or without
the shell) and or craw-fish and crab.
Optional;
add corn, potatoes and or sausage, (Cook these separately first
before adding into the pot).
