13 Great Ways to Use Epsom Salt



Relaxing bath, use 2c of epsom salt and add essential oils if you like and soak in the bath.

Foot soak, it can soothe aches, remove odors, sofeten rough skin, add 1/2c of epsom salt to a large pan of warm water and soak your feet for at least 20 minutes.

Soak sprains and bruises, 2c of epsom salt to a warm bath and soak, this helps with tendonitis too!

Splinter remover, soak in just epsom salt and it will draw out the splinter!

Face cleaner, to clean your face at night mix 1/2tsp of epsom salt with your regular cleansing cream. Just massage in as usual and rinse with cold water.

Homemade skin mask, 1T of cognac, 1 egg 1/4c of non fat dry milk, the juice of 1 lemon, 1/2tsp of epsom salt. Mix together and apply to a damp face. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse off.

Skin exfoliator, massage handfuls of epsom salt all oever your wet skin, starting with your face down to your feet, then have a bath to rinse.

Remove hairspray, combine 1 gallon of water, 1c of lemon juice and 1c of epsom salt. Combine, cover and let set for 24 hours. The next day pour the mixture into your dry hair. Let sit for 20 minutes then shampoo as normal.

Hair volumizer, combine equal parts of deep conditioner and epsom salt. Warm it in a pan, work the warm mixture into your hair, leave on for 20 minutes and rinse.

Alright my dear friends, we have some in the group who are needing to maintain or gain some weight, so this week is going to be high calorie meals. Dear Diary....Depression Sucks,      I have it marked in the "About Me" section that I am Bipolar. I was diagnosed Manic Depressive when I was 15, and then at a later date it turned too Bipolar Type 2. What is Bipolar 2 Disorder? It is a form of mental illness, it is similar to Bipolar 1 except with moods cycling between high and low over time. Most of the time the "up" moods never reach full blown mania (I have had that twice in my life). The less intense elevated moods in bipolar 2 are called hypomanic episodes. Most people that have Bipolar 2 suffer more from depression, which is where the term mani depression comes from. Depressive episodes can last weeks, months and (rarely) years.
